On Thursday 13 October we held a fantastic launch party in the private rooms of 93 Feet East, Brick Lane, London. We filled the venue to maximum capacity with the most wonderful people. Along with bundles of candles, musical delights, great artwork on every wall and sweets galore.
We took the opportunity to use the event to showcase a selection of our fabulous designers products, including designer Polly with her amazing customised short shorts for her label Bambi &Manson. (Look out for Bambi & Manson's, they were featured on Made in Chelsea last week as they were worn during filming by members of the cast)
We invited some talented artists come and display their work around the venue. Carl Koch’s work proved hugely popular, sparking some interest from our T-shirt designers, so watch this space and fingers crossed we will see some of his amazing prints on T-shirts in the near future. In the meantime check out his blog http://carlkoch.blogspot.com/.
Other work included Walter Koch’s colourful abstract paintings (below), more information can be found here http://www.art.co.za/walterkoch/default.htm.
Never have I seen anything disappear as fast as our absolutely delicious chocolate brownies, we also enjoyed lavender shortbreads, and lovely savoury Mini caramelised onion and Suffolk gold tarts & Puff pastry rolls filled with Butternut squash, spinach and shallot, these were all provided by the brilliant Lily Vanilli.
This guy was clearly happy with his savoury snack
Our early arrivals were greeted to the dreamy sounds of our first DJ Dumblepuerta who made our guests feel right at home. Another treat for those that managed to get there early was the offer of free vintage hair do’s, which proved to be a great idea as sadly it had rained earlier in the day. This was set up on the bar by the marvellous Molly Carroll also member of the incredibly entertaining dance quartet ‘Ladyfingers.’ These guys were one of my biggest highlights from the whole night, performing unique routines to such songs as ‘Love Boat’ in thronged swimsuits is something that is just not meant to be missed.
Another great highlight were Brighton based 5 piece ‘The Peppermint Beat Band’ who captivated the crowd with their beautiful acoustic set.
You should take a little time out of your day to give this a listen it’s lovely - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU9isTp_hKg
The boys were followed by beautiful DJ duo ‘The Enchanted Hunters’ these ladies proved to be a big hit bellowing out sing along classic’s to get everyone moving and shaking.
50 of our guests were lucky enough to walk away with a limited edition X-RAY FOG T-Shirt specially designed for ‘It’s My Generation’. These T-Shirts come beautifully packaged in individual boxes, with copies of the original artwork included.
And boy were they happy when they got one.
The night was full of highlights and I loved every minute if it. If you would like to know any more information on the evening or the acts that attended then please do feel free to contact us.
